14 Weeks & 4 Days Prenatal Doctor Visit

Yesterday morning we had our 3rd doctor visit with Dr. French. These monthly visits are quick, they just check my blood pressure, weight me, ask me how I am feeling and go over any questions we may have. The best part is at the end when she pulls out the doppler device and we get to listen to the baby's heat beat! I could listen to that all day long!

Despite not feeling all that great the past few weeks (more headaches, upset stomach in the afternoons, etc) , I think we are still getting off easy. I still have yet to get so sick I can't get out of bed, or worse get out of the bathroom. I try not to complain when I know some woman are quite simply much more miserable.

We did get the results of last weeks NT test, there is only a 1 in 10,000 chance the baby has Downs syndrome. That is great news! Next month, April 10th at exactly 18 weeks, we have the big ultrasound where we should be able to find out if we are having a boy or a girl! Then that Sunday we are heading off to Florida to go cursing the western Caribbean! We can't wait to get away for a nice vacation, and relax in the sun!

Baby's First Photos!

On Monday Morning Greg and I had our first real ultrasound as part of was it called an NT (Nuchal translucency screening) test, which is done for early detection of Downs Syndrome. It only gives us a percentage like 1 in 10,000 chances etc. The good news is the ultrasound tech already told us the measurements are all well in normal ranges! And I only had to give up one small vial of blood, vs. the 10 they took at my first doctor visit! We will get our full results at our next prenatal doctor visit next Tuesday (3/17).

Here are Baby C's first ever photos....
