Baby Kicks!

We have reached yet another milestone. I can feel the baby kicking around in there! It started Monday night after dinner sitting on the coach. I felt what I would describe as little bubbles popping. I looked at Greg and said "I think I felt the baby kick me!" After the third one I was sure that is what I was feeling! He has been an active little guy ever since. He gets the most active after I have a meal. In the morning he gets really jumpy after I have some OJ. Greg is disappointed he will have to wait a few more weeks before these kicks can be felt on the outside. I explained that we Mommies get to fell it first as a reward for carrying the little one around.

On Friday we will hit the big 20 week mark! Half way done already! We will be having another ultrasound that morning, because the tech wanted to get some better photos of his heart. I can't wait to see him again and maybe no only feel the kicks but also get to see him doing the kicking.

Greg and I along with Mom and Dad are supposed to catch the Red Sox game tonight, but it looks like rain again tonight. We are out in the open and will get wet, maybe it will only be a drizzle and we can put up with it for most of the game. I will keep my fingers crossed anyways.

Update on our wonderful cruise is coming soon; I just need to find the time to type it all up.

18 Weeks ultrasound & doctor apt: Its a .....

BOY!

And he looks great according to his ultrasound photos! Greg and I were up bright and early for our 8am ultrasound appointment and 18 week OB visit. We spent a good half hour getting a good look at Baby Boy C and all his parts. It is amazing to see how much he has grown since our first ultrasound ~5 weeks ago. We could see his bones in his arms, legs, fingers, toes, and spine. He was a little sleepy and had his legs crossed, but our nice ultrasound tech Cathy assured us she always get the shot. She had me eat some candy to wake him up and gave him a little shake, finally he uncrossed his legs. Both Greg and I though we saw a girl, but we were corrected that he is in fact a Boy! He is actually measuring a little ahead and if he stayed the course his due date would be 9-7-09, but our due date does not change as far as the OB is concerned and it is still September 11th-12th (I tell people the 12th now, after all the looks I got when said the 11th before). I have to go back for another ultrasound in 2 weeks, as the ultrasound tech was not happy with the photos of his heart. She said nothing concerns her, but at 18 weeks he is still a little small (just small, not small for his 18 weeks), and she was not 100% happy with the photos she was getting. Other than that he was given a clean bill of health, everything was in normal ranges.

We then headed downstairs for our monthly visit with doctor French. Blood pressure is great, and I did not gain any weight last month (no worries folks I was a little overweight to begin with, I am sure the extra pounds are not far off). Baby Boy C and I are both healthy. My only compliant about the last month was all the headaches I have been getting. I wake up with a headache ~5 out of 7 days a week, that never go away. I drink plenty of water, and eat around the clock. She told me to try having a little caffeine to see if that helps. I have not had any coffee since last year, so I am looking forward to the occasional small ice coffee if she says its OK.

What a great way to start off our vacation! Greg and I are flying down to FL this Sunday morning and getting on a cruise ship to the Caribbean! We will be stopping in Roatan in Honduras, Belize City in Belize, Cozumel in Mexico, and Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. This is our first crusie and we are so excited to get away on this Baby-Moon. We are going with some freinds, and just know we are all going to have a great time. So check back soon for a vacation recap!

Happy Easter Everyone!
